Our certified technicians take the time to carefully assess your system, explain their findings in simple terms, and accurately diagnose the issue. Auto AC & Heating Services We Offer
Refrigerant Leak Check & AC Recharge
Over time, refrigerant leaks out and your AC stops blowing cold. We check for leaks, recover the old refrigerant, and recharge your system with the correct type for your vehicle, including modern R-1234yf, then confirm it is cooling properly before you drive away.
AC Compressor Service
The compressor is the heart of your AC system. When it starts to fail, you may hear noises, feel warm air, or notice the AC clutch not engaging. We diagnose compressor problems and replace the compressor when needed to restore steady, cold airflow.
Diagnosis
We utilize advanced diagnostic tools and thorough testing to pinpoint any issues within your vehicle's heating and cooling system. Our process includes checking for leaks, measuring system pressures and temperatures, and inspecting the electrical components that help your HVAC system run smoothly. By taking the time to verify the exact source of the concern, we provide you with a clear explanation, an accurate estimate, and a practical plan for the repair before any work begins.
Belts
The belts in your vehicle's cooling and heating system help drive important components such as the water pump, alternator, and air conditioning compressor. Over time, these belts can loosen, crack, or wear out, and if one breaks, your heating and cooling system can stop working properly. We inspect these belts for wear during service and replace any worn or damaged belts to keep your system operating smoothly.
Electric Fans
Electric fans help cool the radiator and engine by pulling air through the system when needed. If an electric fan stops working, your engine can overheat quickly, especially in traffic or warm weather. We diagnose and repair any issues with your electric fans to keep your engine running at a safe and steady temperature.
Fan Clutches
A fan clutch helps control the speed of the cooling fan and regulates engine temperature. When a fan clutch starts to fail, the fan may not engage properly, which leads to overheating. We diagnose and repair any fan clutch issues to keep your engine running at a safe and steady temperature.
Hoses
The hoses in your heating and cooling system carry coolant and other fluids through the engine. Over time, hoses can weaken, crack, or leak, and a burst hose can cause the system to fail suddenly. We inspect and replace worn or damaged hoses to help your vehicle maintain proper temperature control and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Radiators
The radiator helps remove heat from the engine. If the radiator becomes clogged, damaged, or starts leaking, your engine can overheat quickly. We diagnose and repair radiator issues so your cooling system operates properly and your engine runs at the optimal temperature.
Thermostats
A thermostat helps regulate the coolant temperature inside the engine. When a thermostat sticks open or closed, the engine may overheat or fail to warm up properly. We diagnose and repair thermostat issues to keep your engine running at the correct temperature.
Transmission Coolers
A transmission cooler helps lower the temperature of the transmission fluid. If it stops working, the transmission can overheat and suffer internal damage. We inspect, diagnose, and repair problems with your transmission cooler to help keep your transmission running smoothly.
Water Pumps
The water pump circulates coolant through the engine and radiator. When a water pump starts to fail, coolant flow becomes inconsistent, and the engine can overheat quickly. We diagnose and repair any water pump issues so your engine runs at the optimal temperature.

What drivers say about our ac services
Got me in for A/C recharge on short notice. Honest work.
They know how to fix things not fooling around. My AC works like a fridge Best mechanics so far
This review is a long time overdue. My relationship with KMF started a year ago. Had driven by so many times because I work down the street. It started with getting my a/c compressor. Straight away I got along with Mike. Super friendly and personable. Shortly after my engine called it quits. My own negligence of not knowing when to change my timing chain. Mike took care of me. He was more than fair with finding me a great low km engine at a great price. I honestly felt like it was dealing with a friend more than a business. My car runs great and I appreciate the care that was put into it. I would recommend KMF to anyone I know. Mike and his dad are such good people. Big thanks to the staff as well for doing such great work. Much thanks.

Questions about ac services

604-438-0222How much does car AC repair cost in Burnaby?
It depends on what your system needs, from a straightforward recharge to a compressor or component repair. We give you a clear written estimate before any work starts, with no surprises. Call 604-438-0222 for a price on your vehicle.
How often should my car's AC be checked?
Once a year is a good habit, ideally before the warm weather starts, and any time you notice weak airflow, odd smells, or new noises. Regular checks catch small leaks and worn parts before they turn into bigger repairs.
What are the signs my auto AC needs repair?
Air that blows warm or only slightly cool, weak airflow from the vents, temperatures that swing while you drive, unusual noises when the AC is on, or an engine that runs hotter than normal.
Why does my engine run hot when the AC is on?
The AC adds load and heat in front of the radiator. If an electric fan, fan clutch, radiator, or water pump is already weak, the extra demand can push the engine temperature up, especially in traffic. We test each of these parts to find the cause.
Do you repair the heater as well as the AC?
Yes. Heating and cooling share many components, so we diagnose and repair both, from thermostats and hoses to fans and belts.
